I’m Back!

It’s the beginning of yet another term here at the glorious University of Oregon (although I’m still waiting for spring to actually begin…) and it seems to be off to a good start thus far. After two weeks – yes I was lucky enough to only have one final on Monday of finals week – of doing nothing but catching up on sleep, dining on my parent’s penny and watching three seasons of Desperate Housewives with my 16-year-old sister, it feels good to be back in Eugene actually being productive.

This term, I am enrolled in Strategic PR Writing, Strategic Planning and Cases, Human Physiology (yuck) and Accounting (double yuck). The sour taste in my mouth from spending a whopping $160 on books that could have been spent on shoes is still lingering. I’m planning on continuing blogging not only for my classes, but for fun as well. Especially to document my equally mounting fear and excitement about moving across the country in three months. In my mind I have my whole Sex and the City lifestyle planned out as I gracefully galavant around New York City in my Manolos (a girl can dream) and take taxis (alright, the subway) to Central Park and beyond. However, its time I begin to prepare myself for Cup ‘O Noodles aplenty and constant sore feet, seeing as heels in Eugene aren’t so practical.

One of the things I am stressing out about the most right now is building my summer wardrobe. I have never lived somewhere as hot and humid as NYC and am a little nervous about the temperature change. But hey, I can’t say I’m not excited for all the girly dresses and flowy tops I’ll be wearing. I am currently on the hunt for maxi dresses, a trend I have been wary to try in the past. However, I am growing up and it’s time to try new things! I am loving this:

Now if only I could get that tan…

This one is from Forever 21… not sure how it would look in person but I am loving the half sheer bottom.

I am most definitely in the market for hi-low skirts, leopard accents (my favorite), wedges of all colors, and mint, mint and more mint, the it-color of the season.

Best of both worlds – a mint maxi dress!

I love this top as well – it will keep you cool on a hot day but the half sleeves make it interesting.

I had to with that last one – how amazing does that look?!

Well, it’s off to bed for me before another day of class and preparing for the debauchery that is sure to ensue on our first weekend back of Spring Term 2012. Cheers!
